Heping Ironwind
Time to toy around with my characters as WC3 Heroes! Here's Heping!
Name Heping Ironwind
Titles Spirit-Talker, Warbringer, Leader of the Huojin
Affiliation Kor'kron
Background
Born on the Wandering Isles, Heping followed the Horde and has ever since followed their ideals to a fanatical state. As a strong and loyal proponent of Garrosh's policies, and a cunning strategist and diplomat, Heping has taken charge of the Huojin since Ji's removal as head of the faction. She now grooms and leads them into battle along with ranks of Kor'kron under the banner of Garrosh.
ModelPandaren shaman in blue armor on top of a black worg.
Hero Type Intelligence
Movement TypeMounted
Abilities
Innate - Wind Seer - As a specialist of the air element, Heping is able to naturally push her allies' ranged attacks further, giving them a 20% range bonus.
Kor'kron Advance - Heping commands the winds to push forward in any direction, temporarily granting herself and allies around her a burst of movement speed in that direction. While the winds last, any enemies trying to move against the winds are slowed by 70%. All units hit by Kor'kron Advance are revealed on the map.
Winds of the North - Heping whips the winds around her in a maelstrom of wind and debris. All enemies nearby are dealt damage every second, and all enemy projectiles deal reduced damage to nearby allies for as long as the effect lasts.
Shifting Winds - Heping uses strong winds to form a cyclone that can move any single unit back and forth across distances. If she moves an enemy unit, she will toss it, dealing damage to it upon destination. Tossing an enemy unit upon another will deal damage to each other based on size.
Stormbringer - Ultimate - Calling upon her air elementals to charge her with power, Heping electrifies her attacks, dealing bonus electric damage with her attacks and any of her spells when in contact with enemies. Lasts for a short period.
Strategic Use
Heping acts as a potent buff unit, a powerful commander-type Intelligence hero. Her health is lower than most heroes, but her advantage lies in her fast movement speed ( aided by Kor'kron Advance as well) making her able to outrun most heroes or armies, or catch up to battlegrounds quickly, and excels at using ranged units ( especially vs any other ranged army thanks to Winds of the North).
Use the bonus range to get the initial attack in, with Kor'kron Advance preventing enemies from closing in quickly. Winds of the North will protect from most ranged attacks, and reserve Shifting Winds if possible for dealing with large and expensive units ( eg. any siege units within visibility) or escape ( shifting herself). Stormbringer is a simple buff that is at its most effective when engaging enemies with Kor'kron Advance ( all enemies caught in the spell's radius take electric damage every second).
Note that Kor'kron Advance is also useful for detecting stealth units, or units in a fog of war.

Out of boredom
I present to thee, a biography of DungaDunga.
NAME: DungaDunga
CLASS: Witch Doctor (Male)
FAVORITE QUOTES:
- DUNGADUNGA!
- May the spirits take you, and may my friends FEAST ON YOUR FLESH!
- Your deaths shall be slow and buzzing!
HISTORY:
DungaDunga has lived a life in the jungles, a lifestyle passed on from father to son. While his father was a hunter , however, DungaDunga showed more of an interest in studying the wildlife of the forests - specifically, their insects and arachnids, which led to a great and personal interest into spiders. Eventually, this interest led him to discover their association with the dead. Staying with the corpses to meet and talk with his beloved spiders, DungaDunga began to listen to the spirits, which prompted his father to speak with him of the forest and its rituals.
DungaDunga developed a further interest into their sacred rituals, and by listening to the spirits learned much of an ancient art - a deeply religious and powerful position, held by the wisest of his older clansmen. The young child soon grew into a man, and this man learned how to not only speak to the spirits, but call upon them for aid. DungaDunga learned how, especially, to reanimate the myriad spiders that could be stored in a jar, thrown at enemies as a weapon and then grown to immense size to tear his foes apart, as well as to call upon the insects of the jungle in a swarm that would devour his enemies whole.
Soon, DungaDunga was old enough to embark on his journey to bring balance to the world, and there was no prouder man than his father as he left the jungles to seek out the rumors in New Tristram.
TRAITS:
DungaDunga is a middle-aged dark-skinned man, bald on his head and rather skinny. He often carries his trademark jars on his back, as well as favored totems and a dagger for his ceremonies, although he's also very comfortable with a spear.
DungaDunga has a special affinity and interest with insects and arachnids. He speaks with spiders, and will use them as his main weapon against enemies. In addition, he likes to call forth swarms of locusts that devour the flesh of his enemies, then feed the remains to his spiders. His fascination with such makes him unusual and awkward to talk to, even for a person of his class.

Hating Humanity
And yet another post I decided to write on a certain trend I've seen for a while.
Hating people.
How is this sensible, you might ask? Hating people? Hating humanity - not by race, gender, or any group, mind you, but humanity as a WHOLE. What is the logic behind hating the existence of your very species, and by its inclusion yourself?
Ah, but the people who claim they hate humanity can hate or not hate themselves. How does that work?
- The answer lies in the word ' people', and not ' persons'. Therefore, they hate what groups of people ( as they perceive) tend to become. This, of course, extends to countries and civilizations in general, and how terrible they believe all of them are.
- But why? Again, the reason is simple. One of these: environmentalism, rape, murder, discrimination, subjugation from one country to another or even within their own country, capitalist greed, communist corruption, so on and so forth. The theory is that groups of people are evil, and sometimes it extends that the base of humanity is evil; that humans as a whole are a vile, terrible race.
- Oh, yes, this is especially from the views of many environmentalists and animal conservationists: Mankind are an evil, terrible race, which corrupts and kills other species, and are single-handedly the worst creatures on Earth. We should, by their ideas, be purged in favor of the rest of the animals in existence.
Nobility tends to be rather stupid.
Not all of it, of course, but in this case it is in my very opinion. The very idea that you discriminate against your own species makes you guilty of it anyway. ' This can't be right, I can't discriminate against my race! ' Well, if you kill everyone of your own race, does that make you any less guilty of genocide? No, it does not. Neither does it make it any better that you as a member of the human race recommend that it be wiped from existence. Are you selfish? Of course not, you gain nothing but an imagined good conscience from it. Are you crazy? Why, yes. Yes, you are.
Let's look at what such haters of humanity tend to compare us to: animals. We're technically the only race that hates ourselves, at all. This also implies that we're capable of hate, and in groups it can form rather quickly. However, note that the animal species is not us. We are not them. We don't think exactly like them nor do we act exactly like any other species. We are as unique as the rest of the animal kingdom, and we prey on them, like predators. Prolific, intelligent predators, but predators nonetheless, as well as omnivores. Does the animal kingdom, however, segregate? Yes, it does. The reasons can be based on similar context: a separate territory, different shades of fur, a different smell, weakness, illness, the lot. They're not the holy beings of pure virtue that many environmentalists make them to be, and they're not examples that we should strive to be.
What about governments? Are they corrupt? Yes. Are they evil? Not entirely. Do they mess up and do they have senators and politicians being self-serving? Yes, they do. But they also have their reasons for existence. Every society, in the animal or human kingdom, needs groups. Anarchy means complete disorganisation, which often leads to the preservation only of the strong and intelligent. And by that I mean the top few, the elite. Sound familiar? That's right - under anarchy, you will still have people stealing everything from you, and they no longer have any limits. This can be easily seen in the animal kingdom if you'll notice that the big monkeys take what they want. In our kingdom, they take what they want but are forced into discretion. Governments can be stupid, yes, and we won't always agree with them, but the thing about us is we will never have a full consensus about issues. Ever. This is a consequence of free-will.
And now down to the other evils of society: Discrimination. Rape. Murder. As mentioned above, the animal kingdom practises discrimination. They also practice rape, as can be seen among dolphins, and murder? Murder is simply a neccesity of their lives. Kill someone else's kids, have lunch, move on. Or kill your husband and eat his head for shits and giggles. What about reasons, you say? Humanity does all this crap for no reason. Well, yes, but again, this is a consequence of free-will and intelligence. The more knowledge we are exposed to, the more varied theories our mind can make, and the more reasons there can be to do anything at all.
In addition, such folk are often blind to the fact that humanity is just as easily capable of incredible selflessness. Few animal species are, with exception to mothers, inclined to save someone else's life for purely altruistic reasons, to the extent of self-sacrifice. We can be incredibly selfish, just as we can be incredibly selfless. In fact, selflessness is often countered in our daily lives by the need for self preservation, which is an instinct natural to us and any living creature. Therefore, selflessness is, in fact, far from the natural world - it is an ability granted to us by our free will, just as much as our desires to mess around, kill people, eat interesting foods, so on and so forth. In short: Nature advises that you don't give a fuck about anyone else, and it's really our ability to not be hipsters completely following what our instinct says that makes us better people.
Some people quote Albert Einstein and claim he hated people. Fair enough, quoting what should be an intelligent man, but note that he was famous for being a physicist. He wasn't famous for being a humanitarian or a wise philosopher: He was a talented physicist. I don't claim that he was an idiot, but I do claim that if he hated humanity, perhaps he had not the willingness to apply certain qualms of logic to it to realise that the idea itself is, in fact, a hate crime. Not that he really should spend the effort to, anyway, since his field of interest was physics, not political debate. Also note: During his time, he was a Jew fleeing from Nazi Germany. Witnessing that much hatred and death would skew anyone's views on humanity.
To be fairly honest, the human race has turned out how I'd expect a species of complete free will to turn out - varied in all its mannerisms and ideas, with large issues being segregation, confusion, and unique ideas opposing everything that humanity as a whole does. I agree that it needs improvements. I don't agree that we need to be wiped out to make space for more cuddly little predators that will rip other cuddly little animals into shreds as part of the unique ecosystem we call Earth. I love being a human, and a man. And I know enough awesome people that I'm proud of who we are, despite our flaws and differences.
Now if there's any people-haters reading this, shut up and listen to this:

- Now, the quick answer is ' No, because they recognise and fight against such evil', but sometimes it becomes ' No, they're also evil, and as such will recommend their own extinction.' How absolutely noble.Nobility tends to be rather stupid.
Not all of it, of course, but in this case it is in my very opinion. The very idea that you discriminate against your own species makes you guilty of it anyway. Rick Rolling
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
[Chorus]
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching, but
You're too shy to say it
Inside, we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
[Chorus] x 2
(Ooh, give you up)
(Ooh, give you up)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching, but
You're too shy to say it
Inside, we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
[Chorus] x 3 (Last chorus fades away)

That concludes the Rick Roll for today. Join us next time for another odd presentation on songs!
But really, this song itself has been spammed countless times, but is still a classic. Fun fact: When Rick Astley, the singer, decided to audition to his managers for the first time, he started by sending a recorded tune of his. They didn't believe that was him. He had to walk in there and actually sing for them to prove that his ginger self, in fact, possessed a voice as deep as that, to the point they thought it was an older black / African-American man. The man himself is highly amused at his odd Internet fame, so many years after it was first broadcast. Wouldn't you? It's free publicity, after all.

Yet another 'restart'
Not for good or bad. I honestly don't know, it's changed so much since the last time I posted. Here's a picture to test if I can still do it.
So, what have I been up to lately? Two words.
DUNGADUNGA.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen. D3. I shouldn't be playing the game but damn it's addictive. I get to throw spiders in jars at people. Spiders. In Jars. It's like that expired mayonnaise that suddenly explodes into creepy crawly vermin and you're screaming like hell, except you throw it at other people. Words cannot describe how obsessed I am with it.
Other than that, there's WoW and the education I'm still stuck on. Life has been alright, but the education thing is bugging me, as is the fact I still have no job. Maybe I should get a weekend one once I clear my RT responsibilities. As with WoW, the only reason I still play it is for the RP and the company. Everything else is practically moot.
New blog entry, there. Read it or not.

Essential Links.
For the new people who want to get a glimpse of me, here's two posts I figured were important.
http://sanity-machine.blogspot.com/2006/10/cheese.html

Did I say 2? I meant a few.
Also, take note. Cheese entry has some fallacies, specifically, SIM renovations. For cheesy goodness I'd recommend the hawker center near Bedok Camp and Long John Silver's chips with nacho cheeeeeeeeeeeese. CHEEEEEEEEEEESE.

And now, an interlude.. from nothing.
Yup. Tonight, I've been doing something that's been a hobby of mine for a long bit.. reading debates and corresponding comments.
So, today's topic? Well, I've run through feminism becoming sexist, but that's probably an old topic and not as potentially harsh as this one. Euthanasia.. for animals.
http://www.petmd.com/blogs/fullyvetted/2011/mar/true_cost_euthanasia
The question, if anyone is too lazy to read the article, is - are veterinarians ( vets) being underpaid for their euthanasia jobs? On one side, there are vets and vet supporters who understand the emotional toll it can have on the doctors and those involved, and in lieu of the emotional support that they provide, it's warranted to ask for more of a standard pay for these jobs. On the other hand are those that believe it's mercenary - taking advantage of the clients' grief for money - and that it's part of the profession so they should not whine about it.
My personal take on this? The vets deserve to be given more, yes, but I wouldn't say they should have more money for these jobs. What does that money do? Pay for a vacation so they can pour out the pain? Help them binge it out? The clients, I believe, need the money as much as the vets do. No, I'd say the vets deserve to be given more credit... more recognition, more compassion themselves. Perhaps more recognition from their respective employers, especially, or.. if they're self-employed, it falls down to the client.
Now, one might argue that the clients are more emotionally attached to their pets. This is true, but one has to realise that the vets don't just work on one pet. If they have to euthanise more than one animal in their workshift, it can very well be devastating, especially due to their tendency to bond with their patients - the animals - during visits. Worse, vets often have very little time to mull over these cases as their schedule is never fixed. While a family might be able to take days off to come to terms with their beloved pets, the vet will be forced to deal with a constant influx of animals that have been hurt or sick.
A professional solution might be limiting the number of animals that can be euthanised within a certain time space, but due to personal concerns some vets might find this difficult, rejecting multiple clients due to this limit. However, at the same time, it could help prevent the breakdown of these doctors due to such build-ups of distress.
Whatever the case, I'm convinced the solution lies in easing the emotional toll, and not attempting to replace the pain with money. As mentioned, the paying party needs the money just as much. It could be argued that this extra money helps the doctor because they might need to end their career early because of the added toll, but we should also consider the client's needs.
No matter how we look at this, though, it's a tough issue. Kudos to the professionals who dare take up these operations, and help their clients as much as their patients through these difficult times.

Rio

It's a good movie. Watch it.... whoever's still here. Seriously. It's good for couples ( plenty of you-know-what themes), good for singles ( plenty of jokes, animation, overall fun), and good for friends ( see above, even better if your friend laughs funny). Heck, it made me actually like today despite knowing I screwed up my assignment. :D

So.. what's up..
Hi everyone, whoever's still here....
So for all this time I think I might have grown, I might have gained and I might have lost. I honestly don't know. Procrastination is stronger than ever, but then again I think the problem is understanding. If I can understand what I'm doing, I'll probably enjoy it, CONQUERING THAT DARNED PROGRAM. Oh, and still dealing with social paranoia - it's funny because going against it also screws up with my own confidence, since I start questioning my own thoughts left and right. You know how they say too much of something is bad. It also makes me more oblivious to social clues and stuff, if any, because I try to dismiss it as paranoia. * shrug* Learning, still. So much to learn.
So, hi, everyone.
