Random posting. Not exactly one of my all-time faves but still nice. I'm starving for ktv or sth. Some opportunity to sing!! I just realised I've always had some chance to sing since pri schl... it's either national anthem, school song, or even chapel. And then there was NS - needless to say, a lot of chance to sing there ( though most of the sounds tt are memorable are prob the Sgt's curses and yr own grunts ) . Maybe after exams, if I can get anyone down.

DIY Chain Mail

Hello again.. a bit less depressing post here! Well depends.. lolz

Anddd welcome to your very first DIY chain mail! As requested by.. ME! Hahaha..


Step 1. Origin

(a) Bored dudes in a room. " Man I'm bored. What's there to do around here?" " HeyyyYYY I know! Let's write a chain mail!" " AweSOME!!"

(b) Mad scientist sits in his lab experimenting with his new computer. " MUAHAHAHA I SHALL CONCOCT THIS CHAIN MAIL AND UNLEASH IT UPON THE WORLD!"

(c) Bimbos sitting around and chatting. " Hey , like, I hate this new girl!" "Yeah, she's , like, sooOooOo stuck Up!" " Totally!" " Hey, I have an idea! Let's , like, you know, write a chain mail! I heard she's , like, soooOoOo gullible for that!" " ooOoOoOOoOOoO!!!"

(d) Killers, Kidnappers N Badass Council of Chainmail Builders ( KNNBCCB) meeting - " Now we shall present our next project..." " OMG! My Spongebob Squarepants is on now! (e) Bored little geek at home . " Viruses, check. Screwed the Internal Security Department , check. Hacked every website and account there is to hack, check.. .. OH HEY! I think I'll try making a chain mail.."

(f) Any suggestions? Like perhaps just a normal person feeling bored and sends chain mail for the fun of it.

Step 2. Story

(a) Gorgeous Nigerian princess/ Handsome Nigerian prince needs your help in accessing an overseas account if you will just give them money..oh wait, that's not it...

(b) Message about love, like.." Love is a many flavoured thing" or " Love is more than just words.." yadayadayada

(c) Message about life.." Life is a race, but do not forget...."

(d) Murderous person/ghost is seeking blood.. has just slaughtered a family and is on the loose. Not relevant that it is about a few thousand miles away.

(e) Touching story.. about hospital patient,who died or is dying, and writes a poem, or story, to express their message.

(f) Mother needs cash to help support her sick child for an operation and has struck a deal with Microsoft in exchange for her soul.

(g) Someone really filthy rich is bored and wants you to spread this message .

(h) The email service provider has decided that you need to confirm your account by spreading the word.

(i) Evangelism.

(j) A really bored virus maker has made a virus-laden email and you just got it.

(k) The Duchess of Yorke has decided to have a tea party and you are invited.

Step 3. Forward to...?

(a) As many as you want.. Just Do It (tm) NIKE

(b) Your friends and family

(e) Varying amount - 1-5, 5-10, 10-15, etc.. the more people the more the reward

(g) you will save another person's life

(b) you will be haunted by a certain murderous person or ghost who doesn't seem to mind coming from thousands of miles away to terrorise you because you did not forward his/her email.

(c) you are a very bad and insensitive person

(d) your love life will go to pieces and you will die alone

(e) tommorrow/ the day after that/ the next week/ sooner or later you will die a horrible death involving lots of pain and snails

(f) you will lose all your friends and good fortune

(g) Mt Krakatoa will erupt because of you

(h) you will have caused someone to die

(i) people everywhere will choke on their pretzels

(j) your account will be revoked

(k) the virus will go straight into your com and forward itself anyway

Well thats all I can think of regarding this.. to be fair, some are actually motivating rather than annoying, especially when they don't threaten anything, but spread a good message and all. But when they threaten to wreck your life for no reason it's pretty bad. And there are also legit chain mails... like the protest against child abuse.. Light a Million Candles, was it? Something like that.
This was not meant to abuse any other parties other than the sad cases who create chain mails.. do not take offence if you aren't them. All rights reserved. Any similarities of characters and stories in the text is purely coincidental.. well, kind of.

Do I really ask too much?

Maybe, just maybe, I forget to get this into my thick skull.

I'm not exactly a great person to be with.. that I understand. I can be boring, tiresome, disgusting, annoying and any degree of an asshole to be with sometimes. Not to mention that no matter how much I try to hide it, but I guess I have a lousy temper with some matters. But I've accepted that.

What I may not have accepted.. is that, everyone is different in temperament, in their emotions and thinking. Maybe why I really have annoyed so many to date, that they will check me off their list of friends.. is I forget I ask a lot from them, as friends go.

No I'm not the kind who wants to spend their money, or keep borrowing from them. I hate having to owe people money, kind of chains you down. I don't want all their attention, or that they even give me anything of their possession at all... I only ask for trust. And honesty... to be able to talk with them honestly, about whatever they may be hiding, about our fears and likes, about our world, about our views, about why we act this way and that.

But then in this time and age, I keep forgetting.. trust is a difficult thing. Especially for the wounded, for the disenchanted, for those who have lost theirs to something. And I guess I can be pretty annoying at times... I need a stop sign, seriously. When it comes to asking or being kaypo I need one. I'm pathetic at reading hints and stuff, mostly because I try to be optimistic in this regard.. almost to the point of being blind. To hope that I'm not already getting someone to hate me. Someone once told me.. trust is very hard to earn, but easily broken.. and thus, it becomes more valuable than money, than much of any person's own possessions... and even more so, for those who are lost without it.

And honesty, too.. it goes with trust.. perhaps I ask too much too soon.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid. Well, if I am, then it will pass. I'm not sure if any one of those I offended read this, but if they are, well.. sorry.

Can't afford to think like this anymore.. exams coming. Why am I not ready yet?

Some things that really piss me off...

- NUS staff and rules... I have a friend whos in NUS. Caught pneumonia ( read: potential life-threatening condition) and went to see the doctor in NUS . NO MC!!!!! And same friend had lessons on EASTER SUNDAY MORNING!! Point # 1- Sunday is a public holiday... should not have lessons already .... Point # 2 - Sunday morning is CHURCH TIME - means most christians will haf church on that period... means lessons on that time is against religion liao.. POINT # 3 - EASTER!!!!!!!!! DUN THEY KNOW WTH IS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR??? Seriously /4 nolife.

- Messages from someone.. spam spam spam. I think I'm kinda patient with these things but after a while.. you know.. 2 whole weeks every day get message until whole inbox is this guy... you feel like put your arm thru the handphone and slap him. But of course since he only kancheong spider as usual... I message him back. Expected frm him.. other ppl maybe I reli just ps them.

- People who like to spam tagboards because they're not happy with the other person. Or who just spam vulgarities on tagboards cos they like it. Pleasseeeee get a bloody grip. It's the person's blog.. respect their privacy can? It's their own blog and if you are not happy you can say, but dun insist, and dun try to flame it. Whatever they say in there is their own biz.. if u not happy you go talk wiv them, not cowardly put yr anonymous name and flame it. If you really have no other way that you dare to attack them then go home and suck thumb.

- Bullies , especially those who target the emotionally weak. Not to be confused with friends who like to play a few pranks on each other, these people never let off even when they know the other person will be on the verge of depression or suicide. They purposely want to make the other person suffer, and in fact can be those who pretended to be close to the other person. They're just as cowardly as those who spam tagboards anonymously, even more so .... and even more likely to end up as shish kebabs when they pick the wrong person to mess with.

- Scams and viruses. I'm alright with chain mails, although some actually directly curse peoples' love lives or stuff like that, and those I dun really like at all. But I still enjoy deleting them =D . If they're true, I should have 50 different murderous ghosts and leprosy, cancer and no family or friends at all by now. On the other hand viruses are always genuinely annoying.. you keep having to delete their messages, whatever program they force you to run, and to have an antivirus lag up your whole system. Really irritating in multiplayer. AND SCAMS!! Omg.. I have easily 5 attempts by the Nigerian scam through friendster. I can't believe how many times people think I will fall for " Ohhh-my-dad-died-and-left-me-an- account- which- I- can't- access- unless- thru- a- business- partner- and- I- trust- you- to- be- so- even- though- I- dun- even- know- you- at- all- and- I- will- love- you- so- much- and- give- EXACTLY- 20% "
( Wow what are the chances of that?? Must be a Nigerian protocol.. to give exactly 20% to an unknown stranger who helps you) .....and goodness. What in my freaking friendster account makes them think I'm a nice guy who will believe them ?? Lol....

- Not knowing stuff -.- . Sometimes I wonder why I have such a lack of logic.... haiz. I amaze myself at times.
